Epithalon
Bioregulator — Tetrapeptide Epithalon
A synthetic tetrapeptide developed by Prof. Vladimir Khavinson at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation.
It is among the most researched bioregulators, with focus on telomerase activation, circadian rhythm restoration, and longevity in multiple animal models.
- Sequence: Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly
- Developed by: Prof. V. Khavinson
- Key Activity: Telomerase activation
Epithalon
Mechanism of Action
Epithalon activates telomerase (hTERT), the enzyme maintaining telomere length. Extended replicative lifespan has been demonstrated in human fetal fibroblasts.
Pineal Gland & Melatonin
Restores pineal gland function including melatonin production, which declines with age, affecting circadian rhythm, antioxidant defence, and immunity.
Anti-tumour Activity
Animal studies report reductions in spontaneous tumour incidence and enhanced antioxidant enzyme activity — findings requiring independent replication.
