KPV
Bioregulator — Anti-inflammatory Tripeptide α-MSH C-terminal fragment KPV is a C-terminal tripeptide fragment of α-MSH with potent anti-inflammatory properties mediated through melanocortin receptors. It is of particular interest for gut health — demonstrating efficacy in reducing intestinal inflammation in models of inflammatory bowel disease with excellent local tolerability when delivered orally. Fragment of: α-MSH C-terminal (aa 11-13) Primary Activity: Anti-inflammatory via MC1R/MC3R Key Research: Inflammatory bowel disease models

KPV
Mechanism of Action KPV retains the core anti-inflammatory signalling activity of α-MSH by engaging melanocortin receptors, particularly MC1R and MC3R, to suppress NF-ÎşB activation and reduce pro-inflammatory cytokine production (IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-6). Gut Delivery Unlike many peptides that are degraded in the GI tract, KPV’s tripeptide structure is small enough to survive partial digestion and reach intestinal epithelial cells. Oral and intracolonic delivery routes have shown efficacy in colitis models. Wound Healing Anti-inflammatory effects extend to dermal wound healing — KPV reduces inflammatory mediators at wound sites and accelerates re-epithelialisation in animal models.
